Ruby – Tumbled Stone

Ruby takes its name from the Latin ruber, red, and was long called the "king of gems" in India. A variety of corundum, it is, after diamond, one of the hardest stones there is, and its colour has always evoked fire, blood and passion. The lithotherapy tradition associates it with the root chakra and makes it a stone of life force, courage and enthusiasm, said to encourage both an open heart and vigorous action.
