White Howlite – Tumbled Stone

Howlite is named after Henry How, the Canadian chemist who described it in the nineteenth century, and its whiteness veined with grey recalls a snowy landscape crossed by fine lines of ink. A discreet, almost silent stone, it has found its place in the lithotherapy tradition as an ally of calm: it is associated with the throat chakra and credited with soothing anger and slowing the pace of an overstimulated mind, which makes it a popular companion for meditation.
